Students bring home medals from SkillsUSA Competition

At the Sixth Annual Northcentral Technical College SkillsUSA Regional, students competed in a variety of events ranging from electrical construction wiring and precision machining technology to technical drafting, team engineering and welding. SkillsUSA is a national nonprofit organization serving teachers and high school and college students who are preparing for careers in trade, technical and skilled service occupations, including health occupations.

A number of D.C. Everest students earned medals at the event. DCE Senior Kastin Schaetzl earned a bronze medal in the Precision Machining competition, while Senior Zach Knetter earned a bronze medal and DCE Senior Collin Waldvogel earned a silver medal in the Automotive Service Technology competition.
