D.C. Everest DECA Earns Gold Level at State DECA Competitions

 D.C. Everest DECA Earns Gold Level at State DECA Competitions

The DCE DECA Chapter recently competed at the State DECA Competitions and earned the prestigious Gold Level award — the highest level a DECA chapter can earn. The DECA team also won the Make-A-Wish Believe campaign and Community Service awards for Trick or Can, Teens for Jeans and the Polar Plunge. The National DECA organization recognized DCE DECA as a premier DECA Chapter where they earned "Thrive," a series of chapter campaigns.

The following students medaled in their events:
• Alyssa Peterson — medaled in Apparel and Accessories; first place in the Learn and Earn Project
• Taylor Brzezinski — medaled in Retail Merchandising; Honorable Mention in the International Business Plan
• Sydney Mittelsteadt and Makenzie Meyers — medaled in Buying and Merchandising Team event
• Ariana Mueller — Honorable Mention in Principles of Marketing
• Auston Kellnhauser — Honorable Mention in Professional Selling; medaled in Business Services
• Cassidy Ovaska — medaled in Retail Merchandising
• School Based Enterprise Managers qualified to move on to the next level competition.
