Students Craft More than 100 Valentines for Veterans

Students in Mrs. Bohm’s English 9, Honors, and English Essentials classes made Valentines for veterans who are receiving medical care at three Wisconsin-based veterans’ hospitals. The patients who receive the Valentine’s cards are at the Tomah VA Medical Center, the Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital in Madison, and the Zablocki Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Milwaukee.

The students enjoyed composing unique verses and designs for more than 100 valentines. The students hope to brighten the day for veterans who have served our country. This is the eighteenth year that DCE Junior High students have participated in this nationwide Valentine’s Day activity.
