Announcements for Tuesday, May 30
- There will be a mandatory sophomore and junior ELT today. There are three things that need to be completed: voting for next year’s senior class officers, locker cleanout, and iPad turn in reminders to specific students.
- There will be a Girl's Cross Country meeting in room 346 during ELT on Tuesday, May 30th to give out summer and season information. Please check in with Coach Blanchette or Mlodik if you are unable to attend.
- It's not too late - there are still a few yearbooks available for purchase in the main office for $70. Stop in to get one before they are gone!
- Any athlete planning on going out for a Fall Sport next school year, the fall sports coaches are having meetings today during ELT. Football will meet in the auditorium and all other sports will meet in the gym. See your coach if you are unable to attend the meeting.
- Attention Gaming Club members. Today, the Club will be holding its annual “End-of-the-Year Party” from 3:05 to 7:30 p.m. in Room 116 of the junior high. At the start of this party, the following awards will be announced:

- Senior Awards
- Then, the Officer Initiation Ceremony will occur. Finally, the "Magic Tourney” will start! “Open Gaming” will also occur! The POTLUCK MEAL will be held throughout today’s party!
- The votes are in! Congratulations to next year's HOSA Officers, Ava Schoenrock & Rebecca Xiong as co-presidents, Emma Schueller as Public Relations Representative, and Ashleigh Wanta as secretary.

- Seniors! Check your school email for a QR code to see where you will sit during the graduation ceremony on Wednesday. You will also need to know the row you are in to lineup for practice purposes.
- Graduating Senior Alert! Please be aware that fines and fees need to be paid in full to be a participant in the graduation ceremony. Special financial concerns should be brought to the attention of Mr. Raether ASAP. Note that as iPads are turned in, fees may be added for a missing cord, charger, or iPad damage. When your assigned class books and materials are returned to teachers, additional fines or fees may be added to your Infinite Campus Student Account for damage or loss. PLEASE don't wait until the graduation ceremony practice to take care of your Student Account.
- Seniors! Come to your graduation Party!! Right after the ceremony, come to the Senior High main entrance. Free of charge. Eat, play games, take pics in the photo booth, dance, and Win! Win! All the amazing prizes.
- The CarryTheE Athletes for this week are:
- Sophomore softball Player - Kali Rutta - Last Tuesday Kali hit a single that scored two runs, leading the Everest softball team to a 5-4 victory over Marshfield and giving the team the Wisconsin Valley Conference Championship.
- Senior Tennis Player - Colin Belton - Colin completed the Conference season last week with an undefeated record and a championship at #1 singles. He will compete for a State birth tomorrow at Eau Claire.
- Congrats Kali and Colin, stop by and see Mr. Mathies sometime today.
- Attention Gaming Club members. . .TODAY, there will be the “Election of Officers & Random Games” from 3:05 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in Room 116 of the junior high. All candidate speeches will occur before the elections for the 2023-2024 officers. Good luck to all club members running for officer positions!

- Attention Book Club participants. Our Book Club discussion of Kelly Rimmer's The Things We Cannot Say has been postponed and rescheduled for Tuesday, May 23 during ELT in room 330. Looking forward to seeing you next Tuesday.
- Attention Seniors! If you had Mrs. Lawrence at Rothschild in 3rd grade or if you had Mrs. Salzman for 7th grade at the Middle School, please stop in the main office to receive your letters.
- Yearbooks are here! Check the QR codes by the concession stand to see if you have a yearbook pre-ordered. If you do, you can pick it up today, Thursday, or Friday from the Concessions Stand during the lunch periods. Otherwise, you can purchase a yearbook in the main office for $70. Thank you for everyone's help capturing the memories of this year!

- Seniors, please check your email regarding Important Year End Reminders. This was the email that was mentioned in your advisory slide deck last week.
- Yearbooks are coming! Pick up pre-ordered yearbooks or purchase a yearbook for $70 during the lunch periods starting on Wed. May 17 in the Concessions Stand. Contact Mrs. Aleckson by e-mail or stop by Room 303 if you have questions or want to check if you have a yearbook pre-ordered.
- A reminder for all HOSA members, today is our end of the year party celebration. Please come and join us during ELT in Mrs. Ritger’s classroom today.
- Join us this week on Wednesday and Thursday for FREE thrifting in the New Horizons Balcony located in Greenheck. The closet will be open all day.
- Attention Seniors: Reminder that Academic Awards Scholarship Night is this Wednesday, May 17, beginning at 7 p.m. sharp. If you received an email notification that you are receiving a scholarship, you must attend the Awards Night to claim your scholarship as well as a mandatory Advisory lesson in the auditorium this Wednesday. Students need to check into their Advisory for attendance first and then report to the auditorium.
- Attention DECA members, this Thursday’s ELT we will be holding an end of the year celebration in room 140. Please come and join us for DECA treats and DECA awards. It’s been a great year. Let’s celebrate!

- The student council is hosting a volleyball tournament on Monday, May 15, from 6-8 pm. There will be QR codes posted around the school and at the student council bulletin board to sign up for the tournament. Teams can be co-ed from any grade. Each team will have 6-10 players. Only one person from each team must fill out the registration form. Please register by noon on Monday, May 15th. The volleyball tournament will be free for students to attend. Free ice cream will be served.

Both meetings are in the IMC. The presenters are Kyle Thao, Career Coach at UW- Stout and Nick Schultz, Admissions Counselor at UW-Stevens Point. Don't miss this opportunity to gain information on key factors in picking the right fit for college.
- SENIORS! FINAL CALL! Tuesday by 3 p.m. is YOUR LAST CHANCE to be included in the Jet's final issue regarding your post-graduation plans. Scan the QR code in your advisory or posted around the school or stop by room 302.

Since the new Tech Ed wing and Culinary Lab opened in 2020, the D.C. Everest Senior High has invited younger DCE Evergreens to participate in hands-on lessons with DCE Senior High students.

D.C. Everest Enterprise Students Partner with South Area Fire and Emergency Response (SAFER) District to Construct Training Equipment
On May 3, D.C. Everest Senior High students enrolled in the DCE Enterprises course delivered a custom-made reinforced steel door and frame to members of the SAFER Fire District (South Area Fire and Emergency Response).

Students enrolled in the D.C. Everest Senior High Woods 2 and Woods 3 courses recently participated in the annual Wood Olympics & Career Fair hosted at Northcentral Technical College's Wood Technology Center in Antigo.
