What is the D.C Everest Gaming club?

  • The D.C. Everest Gaming Club is a club dedicated to the practice and preservation of organized gaming of all types.  Some types of gaming include board gaming, role-playing, card playing, strategy-based gaming, anime, etc.  In Gaming Club members participate in group games to expand their knowledge of games as well as make some new friends. Games played in the club include but are not limited to Board games, such as monopoly, Betrayal at House on the Hill, Settlers of Caton, and Carcozonne. RPG's or Role-playing games such as Dungeons and Dragons, BESM, and Pathfinder. Card Games such as normal cards, the ptg (pokemon trading card game), magic the gathering, apples to apples, exploding kittens, Love Letter, and Werewolf. Dice games such as Zombie dice, La Bomb, and Farkel. Video games such as Super Smash Bros are played sometimes as well, though we do not focus on them as they tend to be single-player. The D.C Everest Gaming club is also the anime club of the district and as such we normally have one event a month focusing on Anime, where members can watch animes chosen by the group of some predetermined animes, as well as drawing contest for members to compete to win prizes as well as expand their artistic talents. Starting in 1989, the Gaming Club has worked to create hundreds of gamers from grades 8 to 12. The Club also has officers at both the senior high and the junior high levels.  The overall purpose of the club is to have fun and promote gaming of all sorts.  All students in the club must meet all criteria of the athletic codes (grades/behavior).   Responsibility, organization, teamwork/cooperation, etc. - are all taught in the club.  Monthly events are held normally at the junior high, and the Club also meets during the summer months.  If you have any questions or are interested, please contact Mr. Ammon at cammon@dce.k12.wi.usFor more information and how to join, please check out the membership page, and contact Christian Ammon, the Club Advisor,  at cammon@dce.k12.wi.us or at 715-359-0511 Ext. 3116.
