    ALLIE
    What do you teach at Greenheck?
    I teach Bodypump which is a high repetition, low weight training class choreographed to music.

    What are your Certifications?
    I am certified to teach Bodypump which is created by the world-wide company Les Mills.

    How long have you been certified?
    I took my initial training which was a full two day weekend in March of 2016.

    How long have you been teaching at GFH?
    I started teaching right after I was certified.

    Why do you teach?
    I teach because I love to see fitness levels improve with all participants. Bodypump is adaptable for all levels and everyone can walk out the door feeling successful and challenged. I also love to see the “click” moment when someone figures out how to use better form and makes the connection with movement to muscle engagement.

    What else do you like to do? Hobbies?

    You can find me riding my bike (either my road bike or bright orange electric bike) around town when there isn’t any snow on the ground. I also enjoy spending time on the water floating, waterskiing, or kayaking. I can’t refuse a good book or traveling and exploring new places either!

    I teach TRX group exercise class.

    I am certified to teach TRX suspension.

    I have been certified since March 2019!

    How long have you been teaching at GFH?
    I began teaching in March but have worked at GFH for over two years at the front desk.

    Why do you teach?
    I teach because I love being able to workout. Some days we love it more than others, but we all are here for a reason. I love that no matter how different or similar that reason is we all come together through fitness classes and help each other motivate that reason.

    What else do you like to do? Hobbies?
    I love to run. When I’m not in fitness class you can find me running outside (when weather permits) or in the GFH fitness center on the treadmill most likely training for either a full or half marathon.

    Anything else you would like people to know about you? Being a college student, I know how busy life can be but I’ve learned how important exercise is not only to your physical health but your mental health. I promise if you make time for your own health through exercise you will find reward in all areas of your life.

    I am certified as a AFAA Group Fitness Instructor, ACSM Personal Trainer, Les Mills RPM Instructor, and 200-RYT Registered Yoga Teacher.

    How long have you been certified?
    I started teaching group fitness at Wausau Health & Fitness in 2001.

    Why do you teach?
    I teach to the students acknowledging their fitness needs. Live Well, Eat, Sleep, Workout, Repeat…

    What else do you like to do? Hobbies?

    I enjoy working out, teaching classes, and spending time with my husband.

    What do you teach at Greenheck?  What are your certifications?

    I am certified in and teach RPM.

    How long have you been certified?
    I became certified in June 2019 and started teaching right away.

    Why do you teach?
    I decided to become certified to teach RPM when my second son was about a year old.  As a stay at home mom, I needed something to work toward, for myself…and I’m addicted to RPM.  It is, by far, my favorite form of exercise and it’s increased my fitness level immensely.  In 2018, I couldn’t run a mile.  Now I’m running 4-5 miles regularly.  I want to share that with others.  RPM is so challenging…but so rewarding.  The feeling after getting off the bike is THE BEST!

    What else do you like to do?  Hobbies?  Other information to share?
    In my free time I enjoy staying active with my husband and two boys.  As a family we like to go on runs, ski and golf.  I also really enjoy online shopping and spa days!  You might recognize me from my days on WAOW.  I moved up from Illinois in 2007 to start my broadcasting career and anchored Wake Up Wisconsin until 2014 when I stepped away to raise my first son.  I never thought my first job in TV would be my last but I’m so glad to have made Wausau my home.

    Bodypump 98 Launch on June 20, 2016 and taught my first solo class on June 29, 2016

    Why do you teach?
    To see people improving their lives, making gains and strides forward and knowing that I helped them do that is beyond rewarding! Teaching makes my heart happy, and teaching group fitness not only makes my heart happy, but it makes my body happy as well.

    What else do you like to do? Hobbies?

    Anything music related, theater, reading, kayaking, hiking, spending time with my kids, family and friends. I trip over my own feet, every day. I’m very clumsy. So if I can do it, you can do it! You don’t have to be athletic or super coordinated. Fitness is for everyone!

    What do you teach at Greenheck?
    Hello, Friends! I started dancing at the age of 8 with focus in Jazz, Hip-hop, Musical Theater and Modern. Zumba Fitness finally came along into my life to combine my two passions.

    What are your Certifications? How long have you been certified?
    In May 2018, I became a licensed Zumba Fitness instructor and an active member of ZIN (Zumba Instructor Network).  Zumba Fitness has given me the opportunity to share my love of dance and fitness with a wider range of people and given me the freedom to introduce new and exciting dance routines.

    Why do you teach?
    I believe exercise should be fun, and my classes are structured that way—to ensure that you have a great workout, experience abundant joy, and leave class with a boosted morale!

    What else do you like to do? Hobbies?

    In my free time I enjoy running, kayaking, camping spending time with family and friends and traveling.

    I teach Yoga and children’s yoga.

    I have my 200 hour / yoga certification and have been certified since 2017. I’m also a certified in Aromatouch.

    I have been teaching at GFH since 2017 but a member for 4 almost 5 since I moved to Wausau.

    Why do you teach?
    In my classes there will always be an emphasis on this class being your practice so listen to your body and I will always tried to give you options when doing the poses.

    I love knitting, walking, kayaking, reading and spending time with my grand babies.

    I am certified in Johnny G Spinning, Bodypump, and RPM.

    How long have you been certified? How long have you been teaching at GFH?
    I was certified to teach Bodypump since 2014. When Greenheck Field House launched Les Mills RPM in 2016, I became certified. Previous to RPM, I was certified in John G Spinning.

    Why do you teach?
    I believe strength training is essential for all people.  It has changed my life. Bodypump is the best way to get members strong and healthy while in a safe, controlled environment.  RPM is the perfect cardio compliment for everyone.  It is addicting and the BEST! Exercise is a celebration of what our bodies can do.

    What else do you like to do? Hobbies?

    In my spare time, I am a mom and wife first and foremost. My free time is spent playing tennis and spending quality time with friends and family.

    Why do you teach?
    I love motivating, educating and developing meaningful connections with others in group fitness.  The energy of a fitness class drives others to be their very best in class.  The camaraderie and healthy habits built in group fitness classes lasts a lifetime!  Teaching the benefits of fitness safely and improving the health and wellness of our communities is an amazing journey and I am so thankful to be a part of it!

    What else do you like to do? Hobbies?

    I love spending time with my family, both the human and furry kind!  I also love being outside especially on the water fishing with my husband.  I get to tour our fabulous U.S.A. watching my kids do the things they love to do – Hockey and Music.  I also follow Josh Groban around the U.S.A. as much as possible when he tours! Then when all that time is done, you can find me at the gym exercising or playing with my friends. I absolutely LOVE Josh Groban!!!

    I teach because I love to see the joy and excitement of people reaching their goals and having fun doing it.

    I am a licensed professional counselor in my full-time job. Some things I like to do in my free time include eating ice cream, shopping and traveling.  I would like to get back into running and biking when my back is stronger.

    Why do you teach?
    I love being in front of a room with a microphone, but more importantly I enjoy being a part of participants fitness journey. Watching a class challenge themselves and watching a full room doing sets of the “clean and press” in sync in the “back track” is something I look forward to weekly.  

    What else do you like to do?
    I enjoy adventure and taking risks.  I love to spend quality time with my 24 year old daughter; I love my 10pm ritual with my 15 year old son which often involves eggs.  My 13 year old daughter makes me laugh and I enjoy watching her dance.  My 1st graders, Charlie and Veronica keep me on my toes and remind me to enjoy the little things in life like lullabies and making forts.

    Hobbies?
    Skydiving, bungee jumping, driving with the windows down, going on motorcycle rides.  I love the feeling of free falling and being care free.  It doesn’t happen often, but those are my joys.

    I also love trips with my girl friends, sitting by an ocean or pool with a cocktail and music, and quality time with my hubby.

    I love pizza and Diet Coke.

    What do you teach at Greenheck?
    I am honored to teach gentle yoga, a hybrid pilates/yoga class and meditation with emphasis on breathing, alignment, modifications, de-stressing, community, and having a joyous life!

    All of my classes are unique from Yoga Basics where we take it at the basic level of held stretches, breathing, and decompressing. Morning Yoga is an all-levels class that we explore with blocks, straps, a wall, golf clubs, nerf golf balls, blankets, etc.  And silent meditation is a free 30 minute class including 5 minutes of talking about meditation, 20 min of complete silence, and ending with 5 minutes of discussion. When the weather is nice we are outside.

    What are your Certifications?
    I earned my Registered Yoga Teaching certification (RYT-200) in 2014 from Spirit of the Lake, in Excelsior, MN. My specialized continuing training with the Baron Baptiste Team in Minneapolis has given me the opportunity to apply hands-on adjustments to deepen a participant’s practice. I obtained my Registered Children’s Yoga Teaching certification (RCYT) in 2016 from YogaEd. in Oahu, Hawaii, to teach children’s yoga from preschoolers to teenagers. I studied movement, physiology, and nutrition to receive her AFAA group fitness certificate in 2016.  And throughout the years I have attended workshops on Yo-Chi, Pilates, Z-Health Performance, and Senior Fitness. Currently I am studying for my RYT-500 with YogaFaith.

    How long have you been teaching at GFH? Why do you teach?
    I began lightbodY, llc in 2014, to draw more awareness of having a mindful and God-conscious lifestyle. My goal is for everyone to try yoga and pilates at least once in their life since it's a practice we can continue throughout our entire life.  I hope people will never get discouraged by advertisements and articles showing ‘perfect yoga models’ but to be courageous and participate in a class or a dvd and/or youtube at home! My philosophy is to ‘maintain' our individual body's range of motion and if we add to our flexibility, balance, strength, agility it is a benefit! What we don't use, we lose!

    What else do you like to do? Hobbies?
    Yoga and pilates is not life to me but one of my many enjoyments. I love to travel, play and compose piano songs, communicate with people of all cultures, cook and prepare healthy meals, read, teach Sunday School, animal lover especially my two cats, being outdoors in the fresh air while hiking, skiing, running, tennis, and golf. Yes, cleaning my house is therapy to me! And spending time with my husband Nick, my family, friends and Jesus!

    YOGA – Mindful Morning Yoga, Balanced Health Yoga and Yoga Flow.

    What are your certifications?
    I am an E-RYT (Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher).  The “E” means 2 years and at least 1000 hours of teaching and also a Certified ViniYoga Wellness Instructor.

    How long have you been certified and teaching at Greenheck?
    Since 2015.

    Why do you teach?
    I love to share the awesomeness of how Yoga can benefit our lives, both physically and mindfully/mentally!  There are so many ways of practicing Yoga benefits our wellbeing, awareness, self-control, focus.  And it is so important to balance our health and lives, physically and mentally!  I truly enjoy sharing this with others.

    What else do you like to do?  Hobbies?  Other information to share?
    I love to be outdoors in nature.  We have a large garden honey bees and chickens to tend to.  I also love to decorate and do small projects (HGTV fan here!).  I enjoy spending time with my husband and our many children, dog, cat and someday…goats!  Goat Yoga anyone?  I am also a school counselor and strongly believe in helping others see the best in themselves.  Mindfulness, awareness of breath and thoughts and positive thinking is a great first step in that direction.  Oh...and I love peanut butter!

    I am a certified Les Mills Bodypump instructor and Group Fitness Instructor.

    How long have you been certified?
    I've been certified for since 2017 all at GFH. My anniversary of teaching my first class is Feb. 5th (2017)! My first class was a super full TRX class on a Sunday morning: it was exhilarating!

    Why do you teach?
    I teach because I have a passion for fitness, especially group fitness. I used to run miles and miles on a treadmill in my basement or outside and consider myself "fit", but I found group fitness 4 years ago and never turned back. I push myself harder and cross train to find a whole new level of challenging myself. Another great bonus of teaching is I get to meet a lot of amazing people at GFH! I'm a born teacher, so I love to share my passions with other people!

    What else do you like to do? Hobbies?

    I have an amazing family including husband, 1 year old son, and my dog. Being a mom is absolutely the best!  We love anything outdoors especially hiking, kayaking, and skiing. I'm a middle school band teacher, which is why I think I gravitate toward bodypump with the workout built around the music!

    Why do you teach?
    I teach because I love the program and I love seeing the results and growth that members have by taking group exercise classes.

    I have 3 boys ages 14, 11 and 5.  They keep me very busy.  I grew up showing horses and our oldest son has taken on this passion.  We show horses throughout the summer.  My Middle son plays travel soccer and we travel everywhere.  Our two oldest sons are bowlers and we also travel a lot for this sport.  They both bowl for DC Everest.  Our youngest goes with the flow, and we do everything together as a family.  We also have a permanent campsite where we spend most of the summer, boating, water skiing and wakeboarding.  I also enjoy being in the sun!

    Anything else you would like people to know about you?

    I have a passion for making connections with people.  Health and fitness is a great a great way to do this and that is why I love doing what I do!

    I'm currently teaching Bodypump. I also sub HIIT.

    Bodypump, CXWorx, AFAA Group Exercise. I was previously certified in Core de Force, Zumba, and Insanity.

    How long have you been certified?
    I've been teaching group exercise classes since 2004.

    How long have you been teaching at GFH?
    I've been teaching at GFH since 2013 when they first opened.  I started out teaching Bootcamp and Zumba. At that time only 3-4 classes were offered each week.  

    Why do you teach?
    I teach because I love the energy a group exercise class brings.  It motivates me to work out with others.  I love the challenge of creating workouts that inspire people to get healthier or maintain their health.

    What else do you like to do? Hobbies?
    I recently returned to teaching as an elementary Physical Education teacher. I love spending time with my family and friends.  You can find us skiing in winter or spending time at the lake in the summer.

    Anything else you would like people to know about you?
    I love the culture of GFH.  It is our mission to create an atmosphere where everyone feels welcome to join a class. We want to motivate and encourage a newcomer, but also challenge a regular member.
