Posted by Marie Wardall on 1/17/2018 5:00:00 PM

Students in grades K-2 have been listening to the Golden Archer nominees and will be voting on their favorite the end of February.

The Golden Archer is a State award that is given to a book that the students in Wisconsin choose. Students listen to or read the five titles and vote for one book. All their votes get added together with all the other students in the State that are participating to pick our winner.

    Our nominees this year are:

    Mother Bruce

Mother Bruce by Ryan T. Higgins

Pete the Cat and the Missing Cupcakes

Pete the Cat and the Missing Cupcakes by Kimberly and James Dean

This Book Just Ate My Dog!

This Book Just Ate My Dog! by Richard Byrne

    A Halloween Scare in Wisconsin

A Halloween Scare in Halloween by Eric James

    and

    Scaredy Squirrel Prepares for Halloween

Scaredy Squirrel prepares for Halloween by Melanie Watt

Ask your student which is their favorite!

    Biblionasium icon

Third Grade students are learning about our Library Catalog-Destiny Discover. They are learning how to use the catalog to find books in the library by call number and where each type of book is located in the library.

A new feature that was added to Destiny Discover is called Biblionasium. Biblionasium is a program that allows students to write reviews, rate books, recommend books and share books with other students. We are just getting started with learning the program so ask your third graders what they have been working on.
