    CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

    BODYPUMP
    BODYPUMP™ is for anyone looking to get lean, toned and fit - fast! Using light to moderate weights with lots of repitions, BODYPUMP™ gives you a total body workout.  Participants choose their weights based on the exercise and their personal goals. Major muscle groups are worked via series of compound and isolation-based exercises including squats, presses, dead lifts. The focus is towards muscle endurance using several repetitions.  A normal class consists of 10 tracks each lasting between 4 and 6 minutes. Due to the nature of the program maximum heart rate (MHR) increases in different phases. In addition, the aerobic capacity changes are based on music selection beats per minute (BPM).

    ZUMBA
    Zumba fuses hypnotic rhythms and easy to follow moves to create a dynamic fitness program that will blow you away.  Participants achieve long term benefits while experiencing an absolute blast in one exhilarating hour of calorie burning, body energizing, awe inspiring movements meant to engage and captivate for life.

    HIGH INTENSITY INTERVAL TRAINING
    If you’re looking for weight loss or muscle tone or just improved endurance then this program is the right one for you.  High Intensity Interval Training or HIIT, is a type of cardio training where you alternate shorter high intensity intervals with slow, lower intensity intervals.  For example, a short sprint up a flight of stairs followed by a walk back down is interval training.  HIIT routines will boost your metabolism while challenging your cardio vascular system on a daily basis giving you better results faster in the comfort of your own home.  This class can be modified to meet all needs of participants but will definitely challenge even the well conditioned. The high intensity intervals should be performed at near maximum effort and the recovery intervals should be done at about 50%.

    RPM CYCLING
    Even if you’ve never been on a bike, RPM™ is a simple and safe workout that will get you amazing results. Our instructors show you how to set up a bike and will give options to match your own fitness level. Maybe start with four or five tracks and build up to a full class. Your fitness will race ahead in no time.  RPM™ is our indoor cycling class, set to the rhythm of motivating music. Burn up to 620 calories* a workout and get fit fast.  Learn all the basic cycling moves like standing up, sitting down, changing hand positions, speeding up and slowing down. You control your own resistance levels and sprint speed so you can build up your training level over time.

    YOGA BODY BOOTCAMP
    YogaBody Bootcamp is a class that will challenge your mentally and physically in a way that builds your cardio endurance and muscle strength through various station work.  The class includes yoga poses as well as strength and conditioning that will push you in a way you'll love.  Music is pumping throughout the class.  You will want to try this!


    YOGA BASICS
    While there is a lot to learn, discover, and explore in the tradition of yoga, it is best to start simple and not let yourself be overwhelmed.  We'll focus on the fundamentals such as...

    1. Learning how to breathe and using breathing techniques to open your breath and entire body for optimal health.
    2. How to meditation and set intentions
    3. Use basic and beginning level postures with correct alignment
    4. End with Savasana (relaxation pose)
    Throughout the practice there will be teacher demonstrations as well as hands-on corrections.  We'll introduce partner poses and a few games.  Soft music is played 85% of the class. Regardless of your knowledge this will be a great class to try and see yourself bloom!

    HIIT BOOTCAMP
    This HIIT class incorporates a Tabata style of instruction to alter your heart rate for fast fitness results. Each week will be slightly different to mix up the exercises and confuse your muscles to achieve a higher level of fitness. Participate in a high impact class or modify the exercises to low impact to meet your specific needs.

    FLOW YOGA
    Flow Yoga is a mindful, moderately paced, 60 minute yoga class that incorporates a conscious flowing breath with movements of the body. Class begins and ends with a pranayama (breathing technique) and guided meditation to calm the mind and body. Inspiring music helps create focus as you learn yoga poses that open the body, creates length in the spine, sun salutations sparking our lymph system, attention to breath and alignment, and some long holds for strength, balance, and flexibility. Keen focus, concentration, control of breath, and determination are cultivated in Flow. All levels welcome!

    POUND
    POUND is a fun group fitness class that combines cardio, strength training and Pilates with drumming to achieve a full-body workout. Using lightly weighted drumsticks, Ripstix™, participants can expect to burn between 500-900 calories per class and will be performing over 15,000 reps per session!

    CORE DE FORCE
    Core de Force is the high-energy, non-contact group fitness class that mixes MMA-inspired cardio drills with explosive power moves for a full-body conditioning workout. Cardio spikes burn major calories. And your own body weight provides resistance—no equipment needed.

    STRONG
    STRONG by Zumba®combines body weight, muscle conditioning, cardio and plyometric training moves synced to original music that has been specifically designed to match every single move. Every squat, every lunge, every burpee is driven by the music, helping you make it to that last rep, and maybe even five more.  In each class you'll burn calories while toning arms, legs, abs and glutes. Plyometric or explosive moves like high knees, burpees, and jumping jacks are interchanged with isometric moves like lunges, squats, and kickboxing. STRONG by Zumba® instructors change up the music and moves frequently to make sure you’re always challenged to the max.

    TRX
    TRX is a form of suspension training that uses body weight exercises to develop strength, balance, flexibility and core stability simultaneously. It requires the use of the TRX Suspension Trainer, a performance training tool that leverages gravity and the user's body weight to complete the exercises.
