Our Community

The D.C. Everest Area School District has long enjoyed the robust support of our community building partnerships with community leaders, organizations and businesses that play an important role in helping us provide our students with opportunities to explore careers, learn from subject matter experts, build relationships, develop workplace skills and serve the community as responsible citizens. Developing bonds between our students, families, alumni, schools and community is critical to the success of our students and the future of our community.

Our community-school partnership system of supports include:

  • D.C. Everest Alumni Association
  • Distinguished Alumni Award
  • D.C. Everest Education Foundation
  • Everest Excellence Award
  • D.C. Everest School Board
  • District volunteer opportunities
  • Work-based partnerships (internships/apprenticeships/job shadowing)
  • E-flyer distribution program

Community-backed #FutureReady Referendum

On April 3, 2018, our community overwhelmingly voted to approve the DCE District’s $59.8 million Future Ready referendum. While our District had earned a reputation as an innovative leader in education, our facilities — the majority of which were built in the 1950s, 60s and 70s — could no longer keep up with advances in technology. With the support of our community, the Future Ready referendum has allowed us to upgrade our classrooms to 21st century standards, reduce crowding in our schools, create a state-of-the art Tech Ed wing in the DCE Senior High, improve the safety of our facilities, and secure necessary infrastructure updates that improve the quality of our learning environments.
