     Allie

    ALLIE
What do you teach at Greenheck?
I teach Bodypump which is a high repetition, low weight training class choreographed to music.

    What are your Certifications?
I am certified to teach Bodypump which is created by the world-wide company Les Mills.

How long have you been certified?
I took my initial training which was a full two day weekend in March of 2016.

How long have you been teaching at GFH?
I started teaching right after I was certified.

    Why do you teach?
I teach because I love to see fitness levels improve with all participants. Bodypump is adaptable for all levels and everyone can walk out the door feeling successful and challenged. I also love to see the “click” moment when someone figures out how to use better form and makes the connection with movement to muscle engagement.

What else do you like to do? Hobbies?

You can find me riding my bike (either my road bike or bright orange electric bike) around town when there isn't any snow on the ground. I also enjoy spending time on the water floating, waterskiing, or kayaking. I can't refuse a good book or traveleling and exploring new places either!

     Ashley

    ASHLEY
What do you teach at Greenheck?
The yoga lineage I teach is viniyoga, which focuses on syncing the movement with the breath and adapting postures to enrich the benefits of a pose, meeting students as they are.  This enables students to work towards their yoga goals, which may be increased strength and/or flexibility, and aids them in doing so in a safe and effective way.

    What are your Certifications?
    RYT-200 Certified Viniyoga Wellness Instructor

How long have you been certified?
I was certified in 2020 and have been teaching since July 2019.

How long have you been teaching at GFH?
My first class was in September 2020.

    Why do you teach?
I gravitated toward yoga for the equanimity it helped instill within me.  Then soon the practice became a passion and blossomed into a path of heartfelt service.  Yoga tends the body and mind, as well as nurturing the heart and soul, and I wish to guide others along their path to better wellness, as yoga did for me.

What else do you like to do? Hobbies?
I enjoy weight lifting, hiking, mountain biking and outdoor recreational activities.  I also like to cook and tend my flower garden.  I'm a lover of essential oils and holistic medicines and strive to find the natural path to a happy and healthy life.

    Cami

    CAMI
Cami started teaching RPM at Greenheck Field House in July 2019.  She'd fallen in love with the format over the prior year and a half after it helped her lose the baby weight from her second pregnancy.

Cami says, "As a stay-at-home mom, I needed something to work towards, for myself---and I'm addicted to RPM.  It is, by far, my favorite form of exercise and it's increased my fitness level immensely.  In 2018, I couldn't run a mile.  Now, I'm more active than ever before and can keep up with my rambunctious boys and can't-sit-still husband."

Cami chose to become certified so she could share the love she has for RPM and the reward she feels after getting off the bike.  Cami is also the Group Fitness Cooridinator for GFH, helping to plan out the schedule and keeping our members informed.

In her free time, Cami likes to try other forms of group fitness.  She loves getting outdoors with her family---hiking, skiing and golfing.

You might recognize Cami from her days on News 9.  She moved from Illinois in 2007 to start her broadcasting career and anchored Wake Up Wisconsin until 2014.  Since then, she's been a stay-at-home mom.

    Why do you teach?
To see people improving their lives, making gains and strides forward and knowing that I helped them do that is beyond rewarding! Teaching makes my heart happy, and teaching group fitness not only makes my heart happy, but it makes my body happy as well.

What else do you like to do? Hobbies?

Anything music related, theater, reading, kayaking, hiking, spending time with my kids, family and friends. I trip over my own feet, every day. I’m very clumsy. So if I can do it, you can do it! You don’t have to be athletic or super coordinated. Fitness is for everyone!
     Douglas

    DOUGLAS
Douglas has had a love for dance since he was just 8 years old.  In 2018, he combined that love with a passion for fitness and started teaching Zumba at Greenheck Field House.  A year later, in December 2019, he became licensed to teach STRONG by Zumba.

Douglas says, "Zumba fitness gives me the freedom to introduce new and exciting dance routines to a wider range of people.  I believe exercise should be fun and my classes are structured that way---to ensure you have a great workout, experience abundant joy and leave class with a boosted morale!"

When he isn't on the dance floor, Douglas enjoys running, kayaking, camping, spending time with family and friends, as well as traveling.

    Megan

    MEGAN
Megan is a RYT-200 certified yoga teacher registered with Yoga Alliance. After practicing for several years, she attended yoga teacher training to uplevel her personal practice and expand her yoga knowledge.  She completed her training at Heartwork Yoga Studio in Northfield, Minnesota in 2017. She also completed a yin yoga certification in 2017.  Many friends asked her to teach private classes upon completion of training, so she opened her business on a small scale to teach for fun.  She teaches traditional vinyasa, yin, power, and beginner yoga. Her favorite to teach is beginner yoga, making yoga accessible to all. Her philosophy is that yoga should be fun and doesn't need to be complex to be effective and life changing.  Megan also teaches private yoga lessons and events. When not practicing or teaching yoga, Megan is a travel agent, makes candles in recycled glass from the company she previously owned, and loves to read, cook, and travel with her husband, Bob.

     Sarah

    SARAH
Sara is a certified Les Mills Bodypump Instructor and an AFAA Group Fitness Instructor, teaching classes like HIIT Bootcamp.  Sarah joined the Greenheck Field House team in 2017.

She says, "I teach because I have a passion for fitness, especially group fitness.  I used to run miles and miles on a treadmill in my basement or outside and considered myself "fit", but I found group fitness years ago and never turned back.  I push myself harder and cross train to find a whole new level of challenging myself.  Another great bonus of teaching is I get to meet alot of amazing people at GFH!  I'm a born teacher, so I love to share my passions with other people.

"I have an amazing family including my husband, 2 children and my dog", Sarah says.  "Being a mom is absolutely the best!  We love anything outdoors, especially hiking, kayaking and skiing.  I'm a middle school band teacher by day, which is why I think I gravitate towards Bodypump with the workout built around the music!"
