| MISSION STATEMENT The study of languages emphasizes listening, speaking, reading and writing. This emphasis on language performance allows students to communicate their thoughts and feelings in realistic situations. A sequential world language program is an essential part of the curriculum: it provides an integrated way for students to study life in other cultures. The ability to communicate successfully in another language prepares students to participate in the world community and the global marketplace. |
