THE SCHOOL DAY

         All elementary schools within the D.C. Everest District have approximately the same school day.  Students in grades k through 5 receive over 300 minutes of instruction daily. Our school day allows ample time for instruction and supervised activities.

 8:15 am        Walking students and buses arrive, Breakfast Program available for all students

8:40 am         Warning bell--students report to their             homeroom

8:45 am           Attendance and lunch count/ announcements/ classes begin

10:10 – 10:25 am        Recess – Grades K-5

11:30 – 12:10 pm            Lunch:  - Grades K-2

12:00 – 12:40 pm            Lunch:  - Grades 3-5

2:00 – 2:10 pm              Recess (Grades K-4)

3:35 pm          Student Dismissal
