STUDENT Of The Month

1. The Social Studies Student of the Month program picks one student from both 8th and 9th grade each month that the teachers feel should be commended for their success.  

2. The student is chosen by their teacher for exhibiting outstanding academic success, participation, civic awareness, and school involvement.  

3. These students are to be recognized for their efforts, and as such they are given a certificate of achievement, a DCE Social Studies long-sleeve shirt, and they have their names put up on the Student of the Month bulletin board.

In the 2006-07 school year, the D.C. Everest  JR. High Students came together to make a difference.

During 8th grade, the students participate in a week long unit that ends in a hands on field trip.
