History Day

The D.C. Everest School District participates in the National History Day Program created over 30 years ago.  Students work through multiple research assets in order to collect and understand information relating to historical topics throughout the ages.

What Happens

bulletEach year a new theme is presented and students choose a topic that can be related to the theme.
bulletThey then spend months researching, analyzing, and creating a project that makes history come alive in imaginative exhibits, original performances, exciting media presentations, interactive websites, and detailed papers.
bulletThe D.C. Everest School District has incorporated History Day into the curriculum at both the eighth-grade and high school levels
