Each fall our school holds a school-wide fund raiser. In a good year, with a little luck, we earn about $15,000. In recent years the major expenditures made from these profits have been for the purchase of playground equipment, computers, the sponsorship of field trips at every grade level, special assemblies at school and unique teaching equipment for classrooms . In addition, the PTO designates a percentage of the profits to support special projects within individual classrooms.
