BIG BROTHER/BIG SISTER SCHOOL BASED MENTOR! Evergreen Elementary School and Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Marathon County are currently seeking Mentors for our school-based program. In school based mentoring, teachers refer youth who could benefit from additional attention and guidance. Volunteers then meet with referred youth one-on-one during the school day, for a minimum of one hour per week. Volunteers commit to meeting with the child for one school year and must limit their meetings to the school grounds and supervised school or BBBS activities. Mentors and youth usually spend some time on schoolwork, but they also engage in other activities, including sports, games, reading and eating breakfast or lunch together. For more information, contact Linda (848-7207). For more information about BBBS, click on the link http://www.bbbsncw.org/
