Registration & Orientation Notice

2012-13 New Student Registration & Orientation:

ELEMENTARY_ (K-5) REGISTRATION: Beginning August 10, 2012, students new to the district may register between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. at their attendance area school. It is preferred that all students new to the district register prior to the opening of school on September 4, 2012.

Any child registering for Kindergarten must be 5 YEARS OLD by September 1, 2012. Please bring your child’s birth certificate and immunization records with you to register.

D.C. EVEREST MIDDLE SCHOOL: New sixth or seventh grade students should register at the Middle School office between 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. after August 1, 2012. Open House will be Thursday, August 16, 2:00-6:00 p.m. and Tuesday, August 21, 2:00-5:00 p.m. Students and parents may attend either date.

D.C. EVEREST JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL: The Junior High office will be open beginning August 1, 2012, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for registering any students NEW to D.C. Everest in the eighth or ninth grade. All Junior High students should attend either of the following orientation open houses: Tuesday, August 21, from 11:00 to 2:00 p.m. or Thursday, August 23, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Students should pay fees, pick up schedules, take school pictures, find their lockers, and pay lunch money. All students will receive a mailing in early August with more details.

D.C. EVEREST SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL: NEW students to the district should call for an appointment to register prior to August 23, 2012. Please call Student Services to set up an appointment at 359-6561, ext. 4246.
Schedule and ID pickup and $20 registration fee payment times are:
● Seniors: Tuesday, Aug. 14, 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. OR Wednesday, Aug. 15, 5:00-7:00 p.m.
● Juniors: Wednesday, August 15, 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m.
● Sophomores: Thursday, August 16, 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m.

All students are encouraged to register during these times.

Sophomores and new students are invited to tour the high school building with parents on their corresponding evening listed above. Sophomores will participate in an all-day orientation on the first day of school, September 4, 2012.

KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION:
Any child living in the D.C. Everest Area School District who will be 5 YEARS OLD by September 1, 2010, should register in the Principal's office of your ATTENDANCE AREA SCHOOL (Easton and Hatley kindergarten students should register at Easton). Bring your child's birth certificate and immunization records.
